It is suitable for low and high-value purchases, thanks to its up to £30,000 in financing credit that can be used for making payments across many retailers, including well-known service providers.
Just like many of the buy now pay later services, it has different plans, including the 3-month option that requires no interest or application fee, but it is only available for cart value between £80 to £500.
There is a medium no-interest plan which can be used to finance purchases for up to 12 months of instalments but unlike the first option, this has £5 monthly fee for account keeping and can be used to handle orders of £500 and up to £1,000.
The third option is for high-ticket purchases that require more than the short-term plans can provide. This will enable you to spread payments for up to 36 months at a monthly account-keeping fee of £8. You will pay £25 for the application.
If you are offered the regulated up to 36 months plan, it comes with interest starting from 4.99% (variable).
Humm has a late payment fee of £7 and this will be charged when an attempt to charge the due instalment fails on the second day hence, ensure you have enough funds to make early repayments.
The platform performs a hard inquiry and reports activities to the major credit bureaus, including Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. This means that applying will impact your credit score just like not making payments for taken credits.
